You cannot say an icon is in a given format, be it 32x32, or 16x16 unless you deleted all the other formats. The icon always saves in all formats you have included, what you have a problem with is the way Explorer or perhaos some other apps display them (that may include IconDeveloper's file open dialog). Don't get misled with a dialog showing only one icon as they don't necessarily have to choose to show you the format you would expect. If you use the icon in DesktopX or ObjectDock it should still yield the same results as before.

Also notice that in current ID in the Explorer's thumbnail view the icon shown is the antialiased XP icon, which I do not think was always the case before.

We had to change sort order of icons in IconDeveloper in preparation for Windows Vista and its 256x256 image format and also to make it compliant with Microsoft's guidelines better. I will look closer into the issue as IconDeveloper.13 is still under development (Beta).

I hope it helps.
If there are any actualy problems with using the icons in apps like OD or DX, please let me know and I shall investigate the matter further.

<pubDateParsed>2008-07-25T20:29:55</pubDateParsed>
SkinStudio on Icon Developer Problem

Donna,

I have no experience with Mac computers, so may be of limited (or no) help.

Are you using a calibration tool other than Adobe Gamma to calibrate? If so, you will probably want to keep Adobe Gamma from running at start-up.

In Windows, Illustrator automatically installs the Adobe Gamma utility by default, and it is set to run in the background. The user can use either a third party utility to calibrate the monitor color display settings, or use the Adobe Gamma.

You can stop Adobe Gamma utility from running in the background in Windows via "Run > msconfig > startup tab > deselect both Adobe Gamma options.

If you are not using Adobe Gamma, you might try using it (I believe it is found via "Apple menu > Control Panels > Adobe Gamma.cpl").

Make sure to set your monitor control settings first, then use a grey background with 128 values in each of the RGB, then run the Adobe Gamma "step-by-step" wizard.

Outside of that, I do not have many ideas due to it being a Mac (perhaps video drivers).

Sorry if this does not help.

<pubDateParsed>2008-07-25T20:29:55</pubDateParsed>
Corky_O on Installing Illustrator

It's probably down to Adobe's Gamma handling.
I would recommend saving your theme, then deleting the cache, which is the "ObjectDockPlus" folder found in "C:\Documents and Settings\"user account"\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive, and "user account" is the name on account when logged in).

Note - use "Tools > Folder Options > View tab" to select "Show hidden files and folders" if you cannot see "Local Settings" folder in the address above.

If that does not work, then move all your downloaded images, backgrounds, etc. to a temporary folder as Bichur suggested. Then do a "Uninstall > reboot > delete ObjectDock sub-directory in "C:\Program Files\Stardock" folder, and any cache mentioned above > reinstall ObjectDock Plus and test using the default theme.

If all goes well, move or copy your saved files back to the sub-directory and test your theme. If the problem appears again, try deleting the theme and the cache, then load ObjectDock Plus again (the default theme will appear) and try rebuilding your theme from scratch.

If the problem appears this time, and the default theme works correctly, you can be fairly certain that one of the components in your theme is at fault.

Process of elimination must commence.

<pubDateParsed>2008-07-25T20:29:55</pubDateParsed>
Corky_O on Corrupted ZIP file in OD+ properties

You could move them all out to another folder first.
